Interstate 79, Meadville/Conneaut Lake Exits 2007-Present
Meadville, PA
The concept for this project has evolved to focus primarily on the storm water issues inherent at this site. All of the storm water runoff from the I-79 bridge and the surrounding topography runs through the cloverleaf-shaped overpasses, and empties directly into Van Home Creek, eventually making its way into French Creek.
It was a collaborative effort between Amara Geffen, Director, Center for Economic and Environmental Development, Allegheny College; Chris Brown, Landscape Architect with Derck & Edison, Inc., Steve Halma of Diess & Halma Engineering, and Angelo Ciotti, environmental artist.
